Contech is hiring a Regional Precast Manager to join our Denver team.  The Regional Precast Manager (RPM) is the primary interface with our Customers & Suppliers throughout the order fulfillment process for Precast Bridge products and is accountable for each project from order fulfillment through shipment & installation for the assigned region.  As such the RPM is responsible for ensuring that our customer’s needs are met as it relates to product Quality and Delivery   The RPM is also responsible for controlling costs and meeting the estimated budget on every project.  The RPM owns the execution of our Precast Strategy and Supplier performance within the region being supported. Other responsibilities include tracking engineering drawings timeline with the Engineering Team, Bridge Consultant, & Customer, the scheduling of production with suppliers, coordination with Logistics, direct management & scheduling of the Field Consultant (FC) personnel for the assigned region, and reporting forecasts to upper management.

 

The RPM carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with CONTECH’s policies, values and strategies. The RPM ensures that everyone is treated with dignity and respect providing an environment for success.  Also communicates expectations and accountabilities for performance helping employees see the link between individual performance and department/company achievement of its strategic plan & recognizes and rewards good performance and provides regular feedback.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Owns Precast Bridge projects from Order to Delivery including;
    • Act as point of contact with Customer throughout the order fulfillment process
    • Managing to Customers’ required timeline
    • Manages fabrication drawing timeline with Engineering & Customer
    • Pre-planning with Precast Partner to ensure on time production
    • Execute Purchase Order to precast partner prior to beginning production.
    • Coordinating with CONTECH QA/QC as required to help support project needs
    • Collection of Post Installation Report from FC & communicate positives constructive feedback to Precast Partner on all projects.
  2. Maintains Bridge Project Status Reports and holds weekly update call with cross functional team.
  3. Works in conjunction with Regional leadership, promotional team, and AVP’s.
  4. Executes Regional Precast Strategy & responsible for Supplier Relationships including;
    • Supplier development & training as needed
    • Maintaining supplier relationships & supplier accountability for Quality, Delivery, Cost, & Capacity
    • Provide forecast and production planning to Precast Suppliers
    • Supplier visits
    • Auditing suppliers QA / QC procedures as required
    • Reporting of quality issues through the Quality Reporting System (QRS)
  5. Reviews and updates revenue forecast for the assigned region.
  6. Provide leadership to Field Consultants & manage their weekly schedules to support “Flawless Installation.”
  7. Provides over-sight to suppliers & internal team for challenging products / projects.
  8. Review & approval of Precast Supplier & Operations related back charges.
  9. Job site / customer visits as required.
  10. Will called upon from time to time to perform Pre-Construction meetings & to support installations.
  11. Performs duties according to Contech Corporate Safety Standards to include but not limited to: following procedures with regard to use of personal protective gear and equipment, using precautionary and preventive measures, operating machinery is prescribed safe methods, handling hazardous materials according to prescribed methods, recordkeeping as necessary and reporting unsafe conditions.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Education

Preferred Education:  

4 year / Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Major/Focus:  

Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Related Degree

  • Combination of post-secondary education and experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

 

Required Qualifications:

  1. 5 years’ experience in Project Management in Roadway Construction, or Precast Operations.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively.
  3. Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required.
  4. Efficient time management.
  5. Ability to work with all levels of employees within the organization.
  6. Must have valid driver’s license.
  7. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
