Job Summary:
The Sales Manager for Prestress is responsible for driving the promotion and sales of Contech’s precast/prestressed products; providing support, focus, pre-construction assistance, and consultative solutions to contractors, developers, engineers, and architects in the Boise and Northwestern States Regional Area.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Cultivates and maintains professional relationships and business opportunities with current and prospective customers including owners, developers, contractors, and designers and in coordination with the Prestress Marketing Manager and Prestress Sales Manager, develops and executes a sales strategy with potential customers.
- Acquires a solid understanding of the Caldwell, Idaho plant’s capabilities, markets, and territory.
- Visits customers & maintains awareness of project opportunities.
- Actively supports customers in selecting precast or converting other materials to precast systems.
- Assists in generating outstanding proposals that meet the project criteria with value-added options.
- Builds and maintains relationships with new and existing customers.
- Further-develops and fosters professional relationships.
- Participates in customer, sales, and entertainment activities.
- Advocates for precast at every opportunity.
- Represents Contech in pre-construction and project development events.
- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with Contech’s policies, values and strategies. Treats all individuals with respect, maintains high standards of integrity and adapts style to the needs of different individuals and teams. This includes fostering a climate of personal investment and excellence, promoting collaboration and teamwork.
Minimum Education:
- BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Will Consider a combination of post-secondary education and experience in lieu of degree.
Qualifications:
- 5 yrs. Construction related experience & ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, Precast experience desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with strong presentation and negotiation skills. Exceptional interpersonal and listening skills.
- Ability to apply effective time management and self-management skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information, concepts and applications using consultative marketing skills in both a one-on-one environment, virtual, and a formal public speaking environment.
- Solid project management skills.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to travel occasionally, 10-20%.
- Excellent computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CRMs preferred.
